Issue: When initializing the HowNow program, users encounter the following error: “An error occurred during startup: '1899-12-30' is not a valid date and time.”
Cause: Kaspersky antivirus blocking parts of network traffic
Workaround/Resolution: We strongly recommend advising the client to consult with their IT department before trying these solutions:
Create an exception within the Kaspersky firewall for the HowNow program.
Alternatively, in a recent occurrence, uninstalling Kaspersky was required for resolution.
