Overview: Your Business Fitness account provides seamless access to all Business Fitness cloud products, including the Active Platform, Smart Workpapers, HowNow X, and HowNow Portal, etc.
This guide outlines how to register, set up two-factor authentication (2FA), and manage your account settings.
Registering Your Account
Overview
To get started, you will receive an invitation from Business Fitness via email. Click on "Register Account" to sign up using Microsoft or by completing the form on the website to set up your login credentials and two-factor authentication (2FA).
If you have already registered your account, you can access your authenticator and identity profile by visiting: https://identity.businessfitness.com.au/
Accepting Your Invitation
1. Once you have received your invitation email from business fitness, click on "Register Account."
2. This will direct you to the below website where you can register your account using two options. You can either Register your identity account using your Microsoft Account or simply register by filling out the web form as seen below.
3. If you choose to register with Microsoft's Single Sign On (SSO) service, you will be redirected to the Microsoft login page.
Follow the on-screen prompts to link your Microsoft account. This will also complete your registration for Business Fitness products and create your identity account.
Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
When registering your account for the first time, you will automatically be prompted to set up 2FA on your mobile device. This can be done by scanning a QR code or entering the provided 2FA key after downloading your preferred authenticator app on your phone.
Tip: To set up 2FA, you can use any Authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, or others.)
Once you have scanned the provided QR code on the screen in your authenticator app, Once you have scanned the QR code displayed on the screen using your authenticator app, the app will generate a code. Enter this code into the Verification Code field on the setup screen and click Verify.
On the next screen, you can specify a valid mobile number to set up 2FA sms Recovery. This will enable you to sign into Active using a 2FA sms recovery code when normal 2FA codes are not accessible.
Also ensure to copy your recovery codes and save them in a secure location, such as a password manager. These recovery codes can be used as a backup method when logging in.
Finally, click Get Started, which will log you out so you can log in again using your new 2FA credentials.
When logging back in you can now use Sign in with Microsoft Single Sign on (SSO) any time by registering with a Microsoft account or using the standard Email and password option.
Setting Up 2FA SMS Recovery
If you do not have 2FA SMS recovery set up as a backup option for your 2FA login. You may be prompted to sign up when logging in.
Choose your country using the drop down flag option and enter your mobile number.
Click the Send SMS button.
Note: Choosing the option Don't ask me again will remove the option completely. If you want to have the option to choose later, select Not now.
Enter the verification code received via SMS on your phone in the provided field. If you did not receive the code, click Resend verification code, and then click Verify to complete the setup.
When signing back in, you will be directed to the Two-Factor Authentication screen. Here, you can enter your authenticator code (the most commonly used method) or choose authentication via a recovery code or 2FA SMS code.
You can also click Remember this machine which will remember your 2FA sign in credentials for approximately 30 days.
Managing your 2FA and Business Fitness Identity Account
Users can manage their business fitness identity account by signing in to our Identity Website using the following link: https://identity.businessfitness.com.au/
On the Identity Website, you can access the following:
Profile Tab: Update your name, email, and phone number.
Password: Change your password.
Two-Factor Authentication: Manage recovery codes, reset 2FA, or set up 2FA.
Connected Apps: View any 3rd party apps linked to the identity platform outside of Business Fitness (usually not applicable).
