Issue: Users may encounter an error message stating "A binder column is required when querying the general ledger" when attempting to load data in Active Workpapers.

Cause: This error typically occurs when the primary binder column is not correctly set for the binder.

Resolution:

1. Open the affected binder in Active Workpapers.

2. Click on 'Tools and Settings' cog at the top right.

3. Select "Edit Columns" option from the dropdown menu.

4. In the "Edit Columns" page, locate the column corresponding to the current financial year (e.g., 2024).

5. Ensure that the checkbox for "Primary" is ticked for the current financial year column.

6. If it's not ticked, tick the box to set it as the primary column.

7. Save and close the "Edit Columns" page.

8. Click Refresh Data Feed or close and reopen the binder.

Additional Notes:

- It's important to verify that only one column is set as the primary column.

- If the issue persists after following these steps, delete all columns for the binder and recreate them.
- Check Active Ledger to ensure you have a dataset for the specified column dates and/or check if you have the correct depreciation year in Active Ledger if the error occurs for a fixed asset sheet.
- Check if transactions exist in Xero for the specified date ranges.

- In some cases, reimporting the trial balance or reloading/refreshing the addin may be necessary.
