Run the Support Utility on the server that Firebird is installed on. All users must be out of HowNow for this to be done.

When the process finishes, open the Services window.

In the Support Utility, delete and retype the k at the end of the backup file so the Restore button is clickable.

Click the Restore button and make sure the process finishes without errors.

If any errors happen in stage 7, restart Firebird and try the Restore again.<br><br>

1. Go to the Database Maintenance tab.
2. Click Backup
3. When the process finishes, open the Services window.
4. Stop the Firebird service
5. Restart the Firebird service
6. In the Support Utility, delete and retype the k at the end of the backup file so the Restore button is clickable.
7. Click the Restore button and make sure the process finishes without errors.
8. If any errors happen in stage 7, restart Firebird and try the Restore again.<br><br>
