The only time the Closing Written Down Value (CWDV) can be higher than the Opening Written Down Value (OWDV) for a depreciating asset in a Depreciation Schedule Report is when there is an adjustment to the opening carrying amount.

Thus, CWDV = OWDV - Depreciation + Adjustment to the opening carrying amount.
​


In this case:
CWDV = 2763 - 1612 + 3684
returns the correct asset value of $4835
