The below settings are required for setting up an iFirm connection in HNO:
API Base URL
API Key
Consumer Key
Consumer Secret*
*The consumer secret is only required if the consumer key has already been used with a particular secret. iFirm has confirmed that the consumer secret is set by using a particular secret with the key; from that point on that same consumer key/secret combination must be used. If a consumer secret has not been set, HNO will automatically generate a secret based on a hash of the other settings.
Given that the UI does not have a Consumer Secret field, what happens if the Consumer Key I have has already had a secret set?
The dev team have a script in their database scripts repo for this situation. Simply pass on the 4 above listed settings along with the Firm Id (or Firm name) and they can run the script to add the consumer secret for you. Once this has been done, you can then proceed with adding the connection as usual from the UI (the script will add the connection to the database with the appropriate setting, however it will not set it up fully - this needs to be completed via the UI).
What happens if a client is moving from HNO to HNOP and the consumer secret was generated automatically?
Pass the info onto the dev team and they can run some code to get the secret that has been used. The secret generated can then be used by the HNOP Data Sync app.
