The generate index feature will generate a list of all available worksheets into the Index sheet of the starter file.

Note: The Generate Index button is not designed to be used with the 'Import Opening Balances' function. If both are used, you could end up with multiple sheets of the same template on the Index.

To use this feature, click on the Workpapers tab on the ribbon and click Generate Index.

Once pressed, a confirmation box will pop up. Click Yes.

The full list of workpapers available will be imported. It's important to note that this does not download the actual worksheets, just the list. You still need to click on the blue arrow in the Links column to insert the worksheets you require.

You will notice that once a worksheet has been inserted the blue arrow in the Links column changes to a 'Go To' option, along with the additional features available in the other columns. You can delete the unrequired lines from the Index by clicking on the X button in the relevant rows.
