Firm Personalisation of Notification Emails

We have added a new field for you to set your firm's replay address for all notifications that are sent from the Portal - this field is found in Settings > Notifications and is called "Set Notifications Reply Address". This needs to be a valid email address such as: [email protected]

Once that field has been set, email notifications sent to your client will be in the format:

[Firm Name] via HowNow Portal - with an actual email address of [email protected], so the from address on notifications will look like this:

Your Firm via HowNow Portal <[email protected]>

Replies to HowNow Portal Emails

When a client replies to an email sent from the Portal, it will go to Your Firm via HowNow Portal <the email address you set in the field above>.

  • Added functionality for firm filters to propagate to the client level (firm filters can not be edited, deleted on a per client level):

  • Added the ability for employees to be set as the default email recipient. This functionality subscribes the selected employee to ALL client under the firm, including any clients created in the future.

  • Added the ability to remove employees as default email recipient. This will unsubscribe them for all clients.

  • When setting up SecureSign or Click to Sign, added functionality to select a firm representative (employee) to sign the document. To enable this functionality the firm representatives do need to be created as employees in the portal.

  • A "Sign" button has been created on the Admin site for the selected firm representative to sign the document:

    • Firm representative is only eligible to sign the document after the selected account/s have completed signing

    • An email notification will be sent to the firm representative after the selected account/s have completed signing. The notification contains the pin code to access the document

    • If a firm representative has been nominated to sign and all accounts have already signed, the document will remain in a partial state until the firm representative signs

    • After a firm representative has signed the document, it will flow through to HowNow desktop as expected

  • Improvements around signing and error handling:

    • If errors occur at any point during signing, a retry option will appear and reload the document for signing

    • Retry option will bypass pin authentication if the 5 minute lock on the document has not expired

    • Retry option will request pin authentication if the 5 minute lock on the document has expired

  • The SecureSign process now includes a "Next Required Field" button that will scroll the "Next Required Field" into view

  • Removed some signature styles and colours to improve/de-clutter the UX when selecting a signature style
